😋 How To Eat Out Healthy All The Time
May 15, 2023Is it possible to eat out 100% of the time and still hit your health goals?
Yes it is!
But you have to be smart about it.
The reality is, some of us cannot find time to prepare healthy meals at home. Life is too hectic.
One crucial tip for healthy eating out is to start your meal with a simple house salad.
Having a salad at the front end of a meal primes your stomach for anything else that follows.
The fiber from the salad will act as a sieve and slow down the digestion and absorption of your main course.
Because of this, energy is released into your bloodstream gradually, instead of all at once.
If energy is made available all at once, you end up storing some of it because you have no immediate need for all of it.
How does that unused energy get stored?
As fat.
This is a very important point...quick forms of energy (sugar and starch) are made available before they can be used up, therefore they get stored!
Slower forms of energy (protein and fat) are released gradually. They trickle in so your body has time to use them before they build up. If there is no build up, there is nothing to be stored, therefore there is no weight gain!
Fiber from a salad will also keep some of the food from your plate inside your intestines, so you don’t end up absorbing all the calories from your plate.
